Verse 103
பேசுவானும் ஈசனே பிரமஞானம் உம்முளே
ஆசையான ஐவரும் அலைத்தலைகள் செய்கிறார்
ஆசையான ஐவரை அடக்கி ஓர் எழுத்திலே
பேசிடாது இருப்பிரேல் நாதன் வந்து பேசுமே!
Translation:
The
one who speaks is the Lord; the wisdom about Brahman is within you,
The
five (senses) that are desire, they cause wandering,
If
the five who are desire are contained within a letter,
If
you remain quiet, the Lord will come and speak!
Commentary:
The voice inside us is the voice of the
Lord. The voice of the Lord reveals to
us Brahma jṉāṉam or wisdom about the Brahman.
The Brahman, the Lord, and knowledge about him are both within us. The
first line may also mean the speaker, the guru, is actually the Lord. He
reveals the wisdom about the Brahman that is within us through his words.
The five senses cause desire in us. They tie us to worldly life making us wander
seeking the objects of desire. If we are
able to cut away desire, or focus the desire in the one letter, aum,
then worldly desires get transmuted to desire for liberation. If the aspirant focuses his mind on this
single letter, then he hears the words of the Lord who is within us.
நம்முள் கேட்கும் குரல் இறைவனின் குரல், பிரம்ம ஞானமும்
நம்முள் இருக்கிறது. ஆசையான ஐவர் என்பது
ஐம்புலன்களைக் குறிக்கின்றது. இந்த
ஐம்புலன்களும் நம்மை ஆசையால் அலைக்கழிக்கின்றனர்.
இவர்களை ஓரெழுத்தான ஓம்காரத்தில்
அடக்கி மௌனத்தை மேற்கொண்டால் இறைவன் நம்முள் வந்து பேசும்.
