67. If you can open the fragrant door..

Verse 67

ஈன்ற வாசலுக்கு இரங்கி எண்ணிறந்து போவீர்காள்

கான்றவாழை மொட்டலர்ந்த காரணம் அறிகிலீர்

நான்றவாசலைத் திறந்து நாடிநோக்க வல்லீரேல்

தோன்றுமாயை விட்டொழிந்து சோதி வந்து தோன்றுமே

Translation:

Desiring the entrance of birth, you will get fatigued

You do not know the reason for the plantain tree blooming

If you are capable of opening the fragrant door and seeking it

The visible illusion will go away and effulgence will occur.

Commentary:

Civavākkiyar points out our sad state of repeatedly being born and dying. People desire the entrance of birth, physical pleasure.  A banana flower represents the cakra.  The cakras are usually depicted as downward facing flower that is closed until the power of kundalini reaches it at which time it turns up and blooms.  Hence, Civavākkiyar says that people do not know the reason, the kundalini sakti that remains in the organ of pleasure that makes the banana fruit, cakra, bloom.

Civavākkiyar advises people to consider the door of pleasure as door for liberation, open it with the power of kundalini and see the Divine.  Then, the power of maya will vanish and the great effulgence will shine forth.

மக்கள் கருவாசலை விரும்பி, சிற்றின்பங்களை விரும்பி, பல பிறவிகளை எடுத்து இறந்து போகின்றனர்.  அவர்கள் குண்டலினி யோகத்தைப் பற்றி அறிய முயலுவதில்லை.  சஹாஸ்ரார சக்கரத்தை வாழை மொட்டாகக் காட்டுவது வழக்கம். கீழ் நோக்கி இருக்கும் சஹாஸ்ரார சக்கரம், குண்டிலினி சக்தி தொடும்போது மேல் நோக்கித் திரும்புகிறது.  அதைத்தான் இரண்டாவது வரி குறிக்கின்றது.  கருவாசலை விட்டு மக்கள் திருவாசலான மணம்பொருந்திய வாசலான சஹஸ்ராரத்தை நாடினால் பிறப்பைக் கொடுக்கும் மாயை விட்டொழிந்து இறைமையான சோதி உட்புகும்.
